Hudson Physicians is proud to announce that Dr. Kristin Severson was honored recently by the American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI) for excellence in the practice of internal medicine.
The Honorary degree of Fellow in the ACOI (FACOI) was conferred upon Dr. Severson in a ceremony witnessed by more than 400 of her peers, family and friends in Tampa, FL in October. The ACOI is a national medical specialty society representing over 5,000 osteopathic internists.
To qualify for the degree of Fellow, a physician must demonstrate continuing professional accomplishments, scholarship and professional activities, including teaching, research and community service.
Dr. Severson grew up in Plymouth, WI. Her undergraduate degree is from St. Olaf College, and her medical degree is from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She was fellowship-trained in geriatric medicine in Milwaukee and then achieved added qualifications as a Certified Medical Director (CMD) in Long Term Care. She is currently the Medical Director for Christian Community Homes and for Adoray Hospice.
Dr. Severson resides in New Richmond, WI and has an internal medicine and geriatric specialty practice at Hudson Physicians. She’s been with the clinic for 12 years and is a firm believer in healthy aging and independence for seniors.
