End of Life Planning

Dr. Kristin Severson will be speaking this Friday, April 29th, about Advanced Directives and End of Life Planning as part of the 3rd Annual Final Affairs Conference. Her presentation is at 9:45 a.m., and the speaker panel starts at noon. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to open up conversations with family members about end of life care.

Located on the WITC campus in New Richmond, this FREE event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is for caregivers, families and seniors.

Presentations include:

  • An elder law attorney talks about legal concerns regarding wills and estate planning.
  • A physician discusses DNR (do not resuscitate) and CPR.
  • A panel of experts share the importance of talking to loved ones about their wishes for healthcare and offer advice on Advance Care Planning.
  • A funeral director presents on Life Celebrations and Remembrance Services as well as Pre-Arranging Plans.

The Final Affairs Conference is sponsored by WITC, New Richmond Community Education, and Adoray Home Health and Hospice. For more information and to register, click here.
