Bobbi Ledbury is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) who has a holistic approach to all aspects of health and wellbeing. She also has additional subspecialties such as urogynecology in which she performs urodynamics testing, and she is a certified menopause specialist too.
A women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP) is an educated and experienced nurse practitioner who focuses on offering primary care services to women of all ages. Primary care includes health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, counseling, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
Bobbi dedicates her career to caring for her patients in an enthusiastic and empathetic manner. She advocates for proactive, preventative healthcare instead of waiting until something goes wrong. “I see many patients who put their family’s needs before their own, which is heroic but not always helpful. I advise women to put themselves first, which will benefit everyone in the long run.” She suggests ongoing learning through community education classes or scheduling weekly workouts with friends – two examples of getting a little “me time.”
She puts into practice what she tells her patients. Bobbi puts herself first by reading and doing yoga daily. She recommends five minutes of yoga at dawn, midday, and dusk every day to boost mood as well as metabolism! Putting herself first benefits her family, two daughters, and friends in the long run.
Her advice on being healthy:
- Put yourself first
- 5-minute yoga at dawn, midday, and dusk
- Schedule weekly classes or workouts
- Get up and move around each hour
