Dr. Robert Stoy is a board-certified Family Medicine provider at Hudson Physicians. As a family doctor, he cares for your entire being, which includes physical, mental and emotional needs.
Family medical histories spanning generations are useful for early treatment and prevention. He takes pride in getting to know you and your family. Knowing your history helps because he knows what’s “normal” for you. As your family doctor, Dr. Stoy’s knowledge of your family medical records helps him quickly recognize a significant change that might indicate a serious or hidden condition.
He also has access to other fields of practice, which broadens the scope of potential diagnoses. In addition, Dr. Stoy knows the St. Croix River Valley and can provide the best referrals if needed. Family doctors are grounded in an understanding of the multiple factors that make up a person’s health. They look at the big picture as well as the details.
Dr. Stoy went to medical school in Chicago, did his residency in Minneapolis, and then settled in Hudson, WI to build his practice. He’s lived here since 1979 and feels privileged to be able to treat his friends, neighbors and other members of the Hudson community and surrounding areas.
His advice to patients is to try to exercise at least 30 minutes every day to help control weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar. Alternately, if you can’t find a block of time, he recommends doing three 10-minute spurts of activity throughout the day. Dr. Stoy enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. In the summer months, he is an avid golfer and tennis player.
